Frequently asked questions

The things customers ask us most.

Can I collect just one of my packages if I have two ready?

No. All of your ready packages are collected together — we don't do partial

pickups.

If there is a genuine reason you can only take some of them, a manager has to

approve it at the counter.

Can someone else collect my package for me?

Not by simply turning up — we won't hand your package to someone we have no

record of.

Tell us first, in one of two ways:

  • Send us a message letting us know who is collecting, or
  • Add them to your account as an authorised user, from your account page.

Once they are on your account they can collect on your behalf, and you don't

need to tell us again each time.

Can someone else ship on my account?

Yes. You can let anyone you see fit ship to your account, as long as it's a

legitimate transaction and nothing that can't lawfully be shipped.

But the account stays your responsibility. It's your account and your name,

so making sure everything on it gets paid for — and that it stays in good

standing — falls to you, not to them.

Think this through before you agree to it, because of how collection works.

**All packages on an account are collected together; there are no partial

pickups.** So if someone else's package is sitting on your account unpaid, or

you and that person are no longer speaking, you can't simply come and take your

own items and leave theirs behind. Everything on the account has to be settled

before anything leaves with you.

It works well when there's a clear agreement between you. It becomes a problem

when there isn't — so only offer your account to someone you trust to pay, and

promptly.

Is there anything for new customers?

Yes — your first pound is free.

The first time you ship a package of 2 lbs or more, we take a pound off the

shipping. It applies once, automatically, on your first qualifying package —

there's nothing to claim and no code to enter.

Can I ship something large, like a big TV?

Yes. Large items are no problem — we ship TVs of all sizes all the time.

Do you accept returns?

Not at the moment. Returns are something we plan to offer, but the service

isn't available yet.

Do you deliver, or do I have to collect?

We deliver. Delivery is handled by trusted bearers rather than our own drivers

at the moment, so the service is available across the island — just choose

delivery instead of collection.

How often do you ship?

Three times a week.

Why do my packages sometimes arrive so quickly?

Because if your package reaches our Miami warehouse on a day we're shipping, it

can leave the same evening.

Here's how that runs. Say your package is delivered to us on a Monday, and

Monday is a shipping day. That evening it goes out with the shipment, straight

to the airport and on to Kingston. The next day is often a clearing day — and

clearing day is also when packages get updated on your account. So you can see

your package marked ready barely a day after it reached the warehouse.

It won't always fall that way. A package landing just after a shipment has gone

waits for the next one. But when the timing lines up, packages have a habit of

turning up sooner than people expect.

Does the shipment always arrive at the same time each week?

Most weeks, yes — our shipments run steadily.

But we ship by air, and the honest answer is that flights sometimes delay. An

aircraft can develop a mechanical problem, or the airline can run into a

situation that holds a flight up. It's the same thing that happens when you're

travelling yourself and your own flight is delayed.

When that happens, a shipment can be bumped to the next available one. It isn't

common, and it isn't something we can control from our end — but it's honest to

tell you it can happen rather than promise a day we don't control.

We track our shipments and update your package as soon as we have something

real to tell you.

What is Smart Shopper?

Smart Shopper is our AI shopping assistant — think of it as someone from

Jamming Express sitting with you while you shop.

It can:

  • Find you deals and real prices, searching the web as you ask rather than

guessing from memory

  • Hunt for discount codes that are actually listed publicly — and it will

tell you where it found each one. It won't invent a code, because a made-up

code at the checkout is worse than none at all

  • Help you with your Miami address and mailbox number, so your package

reaches the right account

  • Help you create a pre-alert so we know your package is coming

New customers get a free month to try it, with a handful of questions a

day. After that it comes with a subscription, and the daily cap comes off.

It's part of how we think about this: our slogan is we make shipping a vibe,

and we're always looking for ways to make the whole thing easier and more

enjoyable rather than just moving boxes.

How long can I leave my package with you?

Once your package is marked available for pickup or delivery, you have a

seven day grace period to collect it, free of charge.

After those seven days, storage begins at JMD $100 per day.

I've paid, but I can't collect straight away. How long do I have?

Paying puts your storage on hold, and you then have three days to collect

before storage starts again.

Worth knowing the difference:

  • Seven days from when your package is first marked available.
  • Three days from when you pay, if you pay and collect later.

Where are you, and when are you open?
